The grieving widow recalled that her husband often travelled to Nigeria once or twice a year, and she had accompanied him on some of those trips. But she was unaware of any infidelity.

“He kept in touch through video calls, especially when he said he was back at the hotel. But one day, he didn’t answer. I kept calling, and eventually, someone picked up and said he had an accident.”

Later, her husband’s younger brother broke the news that he had passed away. “I asked, ‘Wasn’t he in Northern Ireland?’ My in-law said no, he was in Lagos the whole time.”

That was when the devastating truth hit: “My husband lied to me. He flew from the UK to Nigeria just to cheat, and he ended up losing his life there. I rushed to Nigeria to see things for myself,” said the woman.
